John Haslun:

Assistant Director

John is a senior studying Political Science, English, and Economics at UConn! He has been part of UConn Model United Nations since 10th grade, where he participated as a member of a delegation from Conard High School in West Hartford, CT. Since then, he has served as an Assistant Director, Director, and is now in his second year as Assistant Director-General. He has previously led committees on the Yugoslav Wars and the Falklands War, and has a passion for world history, particularly political and ideological history. On campus, he is a Resident Assistant for the Humanities House, Vice President of UConn's Film Appreciation Club, and enjoys reading, writing, watching movies, and playing trivia. He is excited to return to UCMUN (again), tackle some of the world's most pressing conflicts, and solve some crises.
