Topic: ??

After the huge success of its debut at our last conference, UCMUN is proud to announce that we will once again be offering delegates the opportunity to participate in an Ad Hoc Committee. The Ad Hoc Committee will consist of a crisis committee following standard UCMUN rules and procedures. However, the topic, background guide, and positions will be released at the beginning of the first session, with delegates given an hour to research, ask questions, and prepare for debate. Ad Hoc delegates will be expected to be flexible and creative critical thinkers able to draw from a wide range of topics. As a result, this committee is recommended for experienced delegates and delegates interested in challenging themselves.

All committee rules and procedures will follow standard UCMUN parliamentary procedure, with Ad Hoc following the crisis committee format of rules and procedures. This includes the potential for delegates to write crisis notes, as well as the expectation of delegates passing directives.

As the topic is unknown to delegates before the first session, no position papers will be required for this committee. Topics will be announced within the first hour of Committee Session 1 and you will be able to use technology during that time. After the first hour, no tech will be allowed until the next unmoderated caucus. Good luck delegates!
